Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus shows the morally right way of praying

After seeing numerous promos of Gautam Rode as Saraswatichandra – Star Plus’ new show introduces Kumud (Jennifer Winget) for the first time.

The new trailer shows Kumud heading to the Shiv temple to offer her prayers. She notices litres of milk being wasted through the naala (gutter) as devotees pour it over the shivling while a destitute family starves right next to it. She offers the milk to the family instead of the deity. Touching! While that’s the right thing to do, it is such a rip-off of Paresh Rawal’s OMG: Oh My God!, no?

Looks like the makers are taking the lesson taught in OMG seriously and we are proud. Jennifer is looking gorgeous as ever. We noticed a small tattoo on her leg – which seemed quite interesting.

All in all, the promos of Saraswatichandra are invoking quite an interest and we are eagerly waiting for it to take off on February 22, aren’t you?
